TSI regular and LA Galaxy San Diego player Christian Smith availed of a fantastic opportunity with the professional club Bohemians FC this week in Dublin, Ireland.
Through TSI, Christian was welcomed into the Bohemians F.C. u17s squad over the past two weeks. And the welcome is to be emphasised here!All the coaches and players showed Christian incredible hospitality to help make this an unforgettable experience of top level soccer.
Christian trained once and played two friendly games for Bohemians u17s. Christian showcased his excellent game IQ and his ability to use both feet and provided an assist in his first game. Christian was keenly aware of the level stating “the standard from the teams in Ireland as a whole is higher rather than just 10-20% of players. Each kid holds his teammates to standards and they take the criticism as feedback and not personal. ”
Christian also added that this experience will help him “to adapt to different styles of play, this one being more physical and coaches let their players know when their play is not up to par. Each player is there to play soccer, work hard and not to mess around. ”
